On the sidelines of the Olympics, journalists visit the Great Wall of China

Guided by volunteers and members of the organization of the Olympic Games, dozens of foreign journalists had the opportunity to visit a portion of the Great Wall of China on Wednesday.

This outing was the first for these journalists who came to cover the Beijing Winter Olympics, in a tense health context.

The Chinese authorities have taken drastic measures to avoid contact between foreign delegations and local populations as much as possible, in order to avoid a resumption of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The area where the visit took place was also closed to the public for the duration of the visit. It was the Juyongguan pass, 50 km from the center of the capital.
