French presidential election: twelve candidacies validated by the Constitutional Council

The French Constitutional Council validated this Monday twelve candidacies for the first round of the presidential election in April, as in 2017, including that of the NPA Philippe Poutou, on which there was still uncertainty, announced the President of the Council, Laurent Fabius, in a statement broadcast by video.

The twelve candidates, who have obtained the necessary 500 signatures in at least thirty different departments are: Marine Le Pen (RN), Eric Zemmour (Reconquest!), Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (DLF), Valérie Pécresse (LR), Emmanuel Macron ( LREM), Anne Hidalgo (PS), Yannick Jadot (ecologist), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI), Fabien Roussel (PCF), Jean Lassalle (Let’s resist!), Nathalie Arthaud (LO) and Philippe Poutou (NPA).
