Dubai’s Jebel Ali district and its promise of escape

In this episode of Postcards, we discover a little-known neighborhood in the south of Dubai, Jebel Ali which is above all famous for housing the largest seaport in the Middle East, also designated as the best in this region of the world for 24 years. It plays a crucial role for the UAE economy by offering more than 80 weekly shipping services and serving more than 150 ports worldwide.

Corn this neighborhood is also a travel destination. The JA Resort celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. This five-star beachfront resort features three hotels with unique architecture, but also a world-class 9-hole golf course.

South of Jebel Ali you will find Dubai Parks and Resorts. It is the largest leisure and entertainment destination in the Middle East with its three theme parks and water park.
