The 38-year-old whistleblower has been on hunger strike for over a year to denounce her imprisonment.
At the end of a trial which lasted only three hours, she was sentenced in December 2020 to 4 years in prison, for having sought to provoke conflicts and disturb the public order, charges regularly brought against political opponents in China.
Her family, who have the possibility of hearing from her very occasionally, indicate that her state of health is now very critical. “She may not make it through the winter,” her brother warned on Twitter.
