A humanoid robot paints portraits using artificial intelligence
“Ai-Da” is considered by its creators to be the “world’s first ultra-realistic humanoid robot artist”.
Designed in 2019, it has an improved robotic arm that allows it to use a color palette and a brush.
In his eyes, camera lenses take a picture of the subject which is then stored and used as a reference for the painting.
Ai-Da then drops the paint onto a sheet of paper. If he is not yet able to fully mix colors, his portraits are rather realistic.
